Job summary

BlueShift is seeking a Senior Engineer to own electrochemical cell and stack development from bench to pilot skid. This hands-on technical leadership role spans cell design, testing, materials selection, fabrication and system integration.

You will work directly with the CEO and advisor, and you will recruit and lead the engineering team as it grows, with the path to Chief Engineer for demonstrated leadership in an early-stage startup.

Qualifications

• 3–7 years designing, building or testing electrochemical hardware.
• Ability to develop mass and energy balances and make independent decisions.
• Hands-on bench and shop-floor experience with CAD proficiency.
• Ownership mindset with startup or project leadership experience.
• Ability to attract and lead other engineers.

Responsibilities

• Lead design of next-gen electrochemical cells and stacks from concept to working hardware.
• Plan and execute test campaigns to characterize performance and guide iterations.
• Select membranes and materials of construction.
• Manage fabrication and assembly with machine shops and suppliers.
• Design and build the pilot-skid system for the leaching circuit.
• Develop mass and energy balances to support engineering decisions.
• Recruit, mentor and lead engineers and establish engineering practices.
