Job summary

Axiom Space seeks a Manager, Electrical Labs (HIL/SIL) to lead the hardware-in-the-loop and software-in-the-loop labs across aerospace development programs. You will build and mentor a multidisciplinary team, define verification and validation strategies, and drive lab asset lifecycle management.

You will collaborate with programs, engineering, quality, and certification teams to ensure test readiness and system integration, while advancing automation and best practices and maintaining

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field
• Master’s degree in a relevant engineering field preferred
• 8+ years of experience in aerospace, defense, or other regulated industries
• 3+ years of experience leading engineering, test, or lab teams
• Experience developing, operating, and maintaining HIL/SIL test environments
• Experience in analog/digital electronics or PCB design
• Strong knowledge of V&V, test automation, and simulation-based testing

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operation and growth of HIL/SIL labs supporting aerospace programs
• Manage multidisciplinary team of engineers and lab staff
• Define and execute V&V strategies for avionics and embedded systems
• Collaborate on procurement, installation, calibration, and lifecycle management of lab assets
• Establish lab priorities, resources, schedules, and budgets
• Ensure readiness and integration through collaboration with engineering and program teams
• Drive automation of test frameworks and data acquisition systems
• Ensure compliance with aerospace standards and quality processes
• Review test plans, procedures, and reports for audit readiness
• Lead root cause investigations of test anomalies and hardware/software issues
• Identify opportunities for lab modernization and new technologies
• Provide technical leadership for HIL/SIL architecture and risk management
