You will set technical direction, guide architectures, manage the lifecycle from concept through mass production, and ensure regulatory and safety compliance. The role requires 10+ years in electronics hardware, 5+ years in leadership, and experience with high-volume manufacturing and suppliers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 10 years of significant experience developing electronics hardware for complex consumer products.
• 5+ years of engineering leadership experience with direct people management.
• Experience with high‑volume manufacturing; work with contract manufacturers, ODMs, and suppliers.
• Working knowledge of EMC/EMI, product safety, reliability, and regulatory compliance.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for engineers and leaders.
• Travel ~25% (multi-week trips; trips to NYC HQ).
• Onsite role with 4 days in office.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of ~20 engineers and support personnel across multiple locations.
• Provide technical guidance on product electrical architectures and lifecycle from concept to mass production.
• Ensure engineering rigor while preserving speed in a fast-moving environment.
• Balance internal development with ODM/JDM/contract engineering and supplier solutions.
• Ensure regulatory, safety, EMC, environmental, and product-specific requirements are met.
• Drive architecture reviews, design reviews, failure investigations, and readiness reviews.
• Develop reusable architectures and design methodologies to accelerate future products.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver products on time.
