Job summary

LVI Associates is partnering with a rapidly growing data center developer to recruit an experienced electrical engineering leader who will build and lead the electrical engineering function across a portfolio of hyperscale data center projects.

You will set standards, mentor engineers, oversee design reviews, guide power distribution and critical infrastructure, and shape long-term engineering strategy with strong stakeholder collaboration.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of electrical engineering experience in data centers or mission-critical facilities
• Strong understanding of medium- and low-voltage power systems and backup power infrastructure
• Experience reviewing designs and managing engineering deliverables through all project phases
• Demonstrated leadership in building or mentoring engineering teams
• Ability to influence stakeholders across multiple disciplines

Responsibilities

• Lead the electrical engineering strategy for hyperscale data center developments
• Establish engineering standards, best practices, and quality requirements
• Build, mentor, and lead a growing team of electrical engineers
• Oversee design reviews and provide technical guidance throughout project development and delivery
• Drive decisions on power distribution, backup power, grounding, controls, and critical infrastructure
• Review equipment selections, vendor standards, and technical specifications
• Collaborate with internal/external partners to develop Basis of Design and project requirements
• Support construction, commissioning, and operations with technical expertise
• Evaluate emerging technologies to improve reliability and efficiency
• Shape the long-term vision and growth of the data center engineering organization
