Job summary

The AES Corporation in Indianapolis seeks a senior utility distribution engineer leader to supervise a team of engineering assistants, oversee the design and construction of overhead distribution projects, and ensure compliance with safety codes. Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering and PE license required.
4–9 years of utility engineering experience in distribution.
Experience with overhead distribution design, planning, and joint use.
Demonstrated leadership and team supervision experience.
Strong communication, project management, and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

Lead and supervise a team of engineering assistants with coaching and evaluations.
Ensure safe, reliable, and cost-effective planning and construction of distribution projects.
Provide technical guidance on design, upgrades, and relocations.
Review work requests, designs, cost estimates, and construction packages.
Coordinate joint use projects and other distribution initiatives.
Develop project forecasts, budgets, and resource plans.
Collaborate with internal/external stakeholders and manage schedules.
