Job summary

Symbotic is seeking a Senior Manager, Electrical Engineering Design to lead the Electrical Engineering – Bot Hardware team, guiding PCB‑based electronics, harnesses, and electrical integration that power Symbotic’s robotic systems.

You will mentor a world‑class team, drive programs across multiple platforms, and collaborate with mechanical, firmware, test, and manufacturing teams. Some travel is required to move hardware into production.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Experience leading and developing senior engineers and technical leaders.
• Expertise designing PCBAs, cables, and harnesses for robotics or complex electromechanical products.
• Proficiency with Altium for schematic capture and PCB layout, including power and signal integrity.

Responsibilities

• Build and lead a world‑class electrical design team across multiple high‑priority programs.
• Provide hands‑on technical leadership across the electrical product lifecycle from concept to production.
• Lead electrical design and integration of PCBAs, cables, and interfaces for power, sensing, compute, and control.
• Drive multiple complex programs simultaneously, resetting priorities as needed while maintaining team focus.
• Drive adoption of new technologies to deliver manufacturable, production‑ready hardware.
• Review schematics/PCB layouts in Altium, guiding power integrity, signal integrity, manufacturability, and reliability.
