Job summary

The Keystone Distinction Group is seeking an Electrical Department Head in Boston to lead the electrical design team focused on data center projects. This role balances department leadership with hands-on design on the office's largest projects.

You will set the technical direction for electrical design, serve as the senior electrical contact for data center clients, and sign as engineer of record, while mentoring engineers and coordinating with owners and other disciplines through planning and

Qualifications

15+ years of electrical design experience, with substantial data center work, including hyperscale or colocation projects.
Licensed Professional Engineer in the relevant jurisdiction.
Medium voltage distribution up to 35 kV experience and protective relaying experience.
Experience designing redundant power systems for tiered facilities.
Track record leading engineering teams.
Working knowledge of Revit and BIM.

Responsibilities

Own the department's design guidelines and quality review process.
Mentor and grow the department's engineers and designers.
Review drawings, Revit models, and calculations before issue.
Lead electrical design on large data center projects, from early planning through construction.
Work with owners and the mechanical and civil engineers to integrate power systems into the overall design.
Design to owner standards on hyperscale and colocation programs.
Develop protection and control schemes, including relay settings and diagrams.
Oversee power system studies.
