Washington Area Community Investment Fund (WACIF) seeks a Chief Development Officer to lead development and fundraising strategy, expanding the funding base across foundations, corporations, and government agencies. The CDO will partner with the CEO, Board, and Executive Team to secure resources for WACIF's strategic priorities.

The role emphasizes relationship building, external engagement, and leadership of the development function to ensure sustainable funding and capacity for growth.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressively responsible experience in fundraising or related field with leadership responsibility.
• Track record of securing significant philanthropic and institutional support.

Responsibilities

• Develop and lead a multi-year development strategy with revenue goals and metrics.
• Expand and diversify funding base across foundations, corporations, government, and individual donors.
• Identify and pursue emerging funding opportunities aligned with strategy.
• Lead executive-level fundraising efforts and maintain strong Board engagement.
