Job summary

Dentsu is seeking a senior engineering leader to own the technical roadmap for our enterprise-scale data and AI infrastructure in Chicago. You will lead a multi-disciplinary engineering organization, set data platform direction, and bridge hands-on solution design with vendor accountability.

You will drive architecture, governance, security, FinOps, and cost visibility while mentoring Development Leads and engineers.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading data engineering or data platform teams in large organizations.
• Strong background in cloud data platforms and governance practices.
• Experience with cost management and FinOps in cloud environments.
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow a multi-disciplinary engineering organization and hire to fill gaps.
• Own the technical roadmap for the data platform and design scalable architectures.
• Provide architectural oversight and governance across teams and data products.
• Manage vendor relationships and commercial negotiations; ensure security compliance.
• Drive platform modernization, cost visibility, and FinOps practices.
