Job summary

Pfizer is seeking an experienced Data Integration Engineer in New York to own the data pipelines and integration layer connecting Medical Affairs AI solutions to enterprise data sources. You will design, build, test, and operate production-grade integration software as an individual contributor, partnering with Architecture and Product teams to ensure data readiness for AI delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, data analytics or related field.
• 8+ years hands-on data engineering or integration experience.
• Advanced proficiency in SQL and ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Experience with Snowflake and API-based data access.
• API design and integration patterns (REST/GraphQL).
• Experience with AI/ML data delivery automation (low-code/no-code).
• Experience with RAG pipelines, vector databases and GraphRAG.
• Familiar with Agile delivery and CI/CD practices.
• Ability to identify and protect PI/PII in data pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Design and build data pipelines and integration patterns connecting core enterprise systems to Medical Affairs AI platforms.
• Build and maintain targeted data pipelines extracting, transforming, and serving data for AI solutions.
• Establish and follow data pipeline coding standards aligned with data models and cataloging.
• Monitor and manage data pipeline latency to meet timeliness thresholds.
• Partner with Architecture to implement RAG, vector DB, GraphRAG patterns.
• Ensure data feeding AI/LLM systems is well-governed, labeled, and quality-checked.
• Apply automation (AI/ML, low-code) to accelerate data delivery.
• Support context-rich AI models by capturing necessary business context in data structures.
• Collaborate with Senior Director and Build Engineers to align delivery with product cycles.
