Rippling is seeking a Director of Engineering to lead the Data Infrastructure organization. You will set strategy and roadmaps for databases, orchestration, and AI infrastructure, guiding multiple teams to scale Rippling’s data platforms globally.

This role requires deep infra expertise, proven leadership of large teams, and a track record of delivering reliable, scalable systems in fast-moving environments.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of software engineering experience.
• 5+ years leading engineering managers and large infra teams.
• Experience building scalable data infrastructure and distributed systems.
• Strong background in mission-critical infrastructure reliability and performance.

Responsibilities

• Lead and scale the Data Infrastructure organization across multiple teams.
• Define long-term vision and roadmap for data infrastructure platforms.
• Own strategy and ops for database infrastructure (MongoDB, AWS DocumentDB).
• Drive evolution of orchestration platforms and AI infrastructure.
• Partner with Product, Engineering, Data, AI, and Platform leaders to align investments.
