Job summary

MFS Investment Management seeks a Senior Director of Data Governance to lead the enterprise data governance framework, policies, and tooling. You will partner across data, business, operations, technology, risk and compliance to ensure trusted, well-defined data across the lifecycle.

You will establish data quality standards, manage governance tooling, and drive AI enablement while aligning with regulatory requirements and risk mitigation. Hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
• 15-20 years of industry experience, with 5+ years in asset management data governance or related field.
• Experience developing and leading effective data governance programs.
• Significant knowledge of privacy laws, regulatory compliance and risk management.
• Knowledge of data governance tools and AI considerations.
• Proven ability to lead, develop and grow a data governance team.
• Strong communication, negotiation and strategic influence skills.
• Excellent leadership and project management skills.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement and manage an adaptive data governance strategy and framework.
• Establish policies for data management, privacy, governance and risk.
• Establish data quality standards and controls across functions.
• Lead a data governance team and define tooling adoption patterns.
• Evolve governance tooling to foster trust and AI enablement.
• Collaborate with EDMLT to align strategy with AI, cloud and business needs.
• Work with technology and data owners to ensure robust workflows.
• Build strategic relationships across the enterprise and with regulators and partners.
• Collaborate with market data teams to govern third-party data and licensing.
• Assume additional responsibilities as required.
