Job summary

NYC Health + Hospitals is seeking a senior administrator to organize and direct the activities of Divisional Directors, ensuring alignment with system policies. The role may serve as Deputy to the Assistant Vice President and assumes authority in their absence in delegated areas.

The position requires comprehensive leadership of cross-functional teams, experience in change management, and a track record of enhancing operational workflows across large, matrixed organizations.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Healthcare Administration, Public Administration, Business Administration, or related field with 7 years of progressively responsible experience in health services administration or related disciplines.
• Bachelor’s degree in relevant fields with 8 years of progressively responsible experience; or equivalent combination with a minimum of a Bachelor's degree.

Responsibilities

• Directs, coordinates and evaluates operations of divisional departments and directors.
• Represents the AVP in matters involving City, Regional, State and/or Federal agencies.
• Assists in establishing programs and policies reflecting division goals.
• Attends staff meetings and reviews budget submissions.
• Provides recommendations and directions on projects and programs.
• Performs other tasks as assigned by the AVP.
• Acts as liaison with other departments to provide technical services.
• Acts in lieu of the AVP in their absence in designated areas.
