Job summary

Career Launch is seeking a Head of Data in New York to lead data, analytics, and AI initiatives for partner employers. This senior role requires owning data platform strategy, governance, and the implementation of scalable data products that drive product decisions and performance.

You'll partner with engineering, product, security, and business leaders, mentor teams, and translate business priorities into measurable data models. Strong communication with executives is essential.

Qualifications

• Senior experience in machine learning, data science, data engineering, analytics, or a related discipline.
• Strong statistical, technical, and experimental judgment.
• Experience taking data or model work from discovery into monitored production use.
• Ability to connect technical work to revenue, customer, risk, or operating outcomes.
• Clear communication with executives, engineers, analysts, and nontechnical partners.
• Authorization to work in the United States for the employer without misrepresenting work status.

Responsibilities

• Own data platform, analytics, governance, and organizational data strategy.
• Set the technical direction for data, machine learning, or applied artificial intelligence initiatives.
• Turn business priorities into measurable models, data products, experiments, and production systems.
• Establish standards for data quality, evaluation, monitoring, privacy, and responsible model use.
• Partner with engineering, product, security, and business leaders on implementation and adoption.
• Communicate tradeoffs, limitations, and results clearly to technical and executive audiences.
• Develop team capability through hiring, mentoring, documentation, and repeatable operating practices.
