Job summary

OnTrac is seeking a Senior Manager of IT & Cyber Security to lead the CSIRT/SOC and mature cyber defense capabilities across 24x7 operations. This remote role emphasizes automation, threat intelligence, and cross-functional collaboration with Legal, Communications, and IT leadership.

Ideal candidates will have 10+ years in cybersecurity, 5+ years leading SOC teams, and strong metrics-driven reporting. The position offers a comprehensive benefits package and a clear path to influence security

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Security, CS, IT, or related field.
• Master’s degree preferred but not required.
• 10+ years of progressive cybersecurity experience.
• 5+ years leading Security Operations, Incident Response, or SOC teams.
• Experience maturing SOC capabilities and incident response programs.
• Experience with cybersecurity metrics, executive reporting, KPIs/KRIs.
• Proven success implementing SIEM, EDR, SOAR, and AI-assisted response.
• Experience managing 24x7 staffing, budgets, and MSSPs.
• Certifications: CISSP, CISM, GIAC GCIH/GCIA, GMON.
• Cloud security certifications (Azure/MS) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily SOC/ARC monitoring, alert triage, investigations, and incident response.
• Define staffing, coverage, and escalation criteria for sustainable operations.
• Develop workforce plans to support current and future security operations needs.
• Lead end-to-end incident response and coordinate countermeasures.
• Coordinate incident communications, exercises, and lessons learned across teams.
• Develop detection engineering and threat hunting programs; tune tools for efficacy.
• Establish KPIs/KRIs and executive dashboards to show program maturity.
• Drive automation and AI-enabled security operations to reduce manual toil.
