CVS Health is seeking an Executive Director of Cyber Defense Operations to lead enterprise-wide detection, response, and incident management. This role oversees the SOC and CSIRT, aligning threat intelligence, automation, and AI-driven capabilities with business goals while communicating strategic insights to executives.

The ideal candidate has 15+ years in cybersecurity, 8+ years in leadership, and a proven track record in building high-performing global teams and driving multi-year security

Qualifications

• 15+ years in a technical cybersecurity function.
• 8+ years in a leadership role managing global detection and response, threat hunting, or security operations teams.
• 5+ years of experience developing and executing a long-term strategic vision for security operations at an enterprise scale.
• 5+ years of experience leveraging automation and orchestration (SOAR) to improve SOC efficiency.
• 2+ years of experience with applying AI/ML on security data for anomaly detection, threat modeling, and predictive security.

Responsabilités

• Serve as Incident Commander for major security incidents, coordinating technical teams and executive leadership.
• Develop detection content aligned with ATT&CK, ATLAS, D3FEND and other security frameworks.
• Identify root causes of problems and deliver preemptive solutions.
• Track OKRs, KPIs and KRIs to measure maturity and improvements.
• Collaborate with threat intelligence and other security teams to enhance detection and response.
• Provide executive-level briefings and actionable insights to senior leadership.
• Drive automation and orchestration initiatives to improve efficiency.
• Lead tabletop exercises and simulations to validate readiness.
