Head of Corporate Marketing & Communications

Healthcare AI | Executive Visibility | Brand & PR Leadership

Location: San Francisco preferred; exceptional candidates in other markets considered

Skinner & Associates is conducting a confidential search for a Head of Corporate Marketing & Communications with a rapidly growing healthcare AI company.

This is a highly visible leadership role expected to report directly to the CEO and work closely with the executive team to shape how the company is positioned in the market.

We’re looking for a sophisticated storyteller and communications leader who can build a compelling corporate narrative, elevate executive visibility, drive meaningful earned media, and help position the organization at the forefront of AI-driven healthcare transformation.

What You’ll Lead

• Develop and execute the company’s corporate marketing, brand, and communications strategy
• Partner closely with the CEO and executive team on positioning, messaging, and executive communications
• Own public relations strategy and cultivate relationships with top-tier business, technology, healthcare, and industry media
• Build executive thought leadership programs and identify opportunities to shape industry conversations
• Lead storytelling around customers, company milestones, partnerships, technology, and market trends
• Develop high-impact content across thought leadership, reports, articles, digital media, video, and other channels
• Strengthen the company’s social media presence and executive visibility
• Support internal and high-stakes corporate communications
• Build and develop the marketing and communications function as the organization continues to scale

Who We’re Looking For

The ideal candidate will bring approximately 10+ years of experience in corporate communications, marketing, PR, or a related discipline, ideally within enterprise technology, B2B software, healthcare technology, or another complex industry.

Strong candidates will have:

• Deep experience in corporate communications, PR, earned media, brand positioning, and executive thought leadership
• A proven track record of securing meaningful media coverage and building strong relationships with journalists and industry influencers
• Exceptional writing, messaging, and storytelling skills
• The ability to translate complex technology into clear, differentiated, compelling narratives
• Experience advising CEOs and senior executives
• Strong judgment in sensitive or high-stakes communications
• A proactive, strategic mindset combined with a willingness to be hands-on
• Experience building or leading teams and external agency relationships

Healthcare experience is a significant plus, but not required.

The company has a strong preference for someone based in the San Francisco Bay Area due to the close partnership with the CEO and leadership team, although exceptional candidates in other markets will be considered.

The search is currently positioned at the Sr. Director/VP level, with flexibility in scope and seniority for an exceptional candidate.
