Hyliion is seeking a Director of Marketing Communications to shape how the company is understood by customers, investors, media, employees, and partners. This role defines strategy for corporate and executive communications, brand management, and marketing communications, and leads a growing team to scale with Hyliion's growth.

The role blends strategic ownership and hands-on production across messaging, presentations, and content, partnering with leadership and legal to ensure credible

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, public relations, journalism, business, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in corporate communications, marketing communications, public relations, brand management, or related roles.
• Experience in energy, technology, industrial, manufacturing, infrastructure, or other technically complex industries preferred.
• Experience managing executive communications, media relationships, PR agencies, websites, digital channels, and major corporate announcements.
• Experience developing product marketing materials, case studies, thought-leadership content, and multimedia assets.

Responsibilities

• Set the vision for and lead execution of Hyliion's corporate and marketing communications strategy aligned with priorities and milestones.
• Define and own the narrative for Hyliion and the KARNO technology across customers, investors, media, employees, and partners.
• Establish and enforce brand guidelines including visual identity, messaging, tone, photography, and technical language.
• Lead and develop a high-performing communications and marketing team.
• Oversee crisis and issues communications strategy and readiness with executive leadership and legal counsel.
• Own the communications calendar and ensure timely, validated announcements of milestones.
• Direct brand engagement across owned, earned, social, and paid channels.
