Position Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven
Head of Commercial Sales to lead and scale our national commercial sales function. As a key member of the leadership team, you will be responsible for shaping and executing a comprehensive go-to-market strategy focused on expanding our commercial pest control footprint across the U.S.
This role goes beyond traditional sales management, it requires a visionary leader who can architect scalable sales infrastructure, optimize sales processes and team structure, and deploy the right tools and technology to support long-term growth. You will partner cross-functionally with Marketing, Operations, Integration, and Customer Service to establish PestCo as a leader in commercial pest control.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership & Growth
- Develop and execute a national commercial sales strategy aligned with company growth goals.
- Build and refine a go-to-market approach targeting key verticals such as food processing, distribution, restaurants, hospitality, healthcare, and multi-family housing.
- Identify and prioritize strategic growth markets and regions to support branch expansion.
- Team Management & Scaling
- Lead, coach, and expand a high-performing team of regional commercial sales leaders and reps.
- Establish KPIs, performance metrics, and compensation plans to drive accountability.
- Implement onboarding, training, and development programs for commercial sales staff.
- Sales Operations & Enablement
- Optimize existing software tools (CRM, lead gen, proposals, etc.) to improve efficiency.
- Assess and recommend additional tools to support sales performance and forecasting.
- Standardize sales processes for consistency across markets.
- Revenue Growth & Account Strategy
- Collaborate with Marketing to develop our Commercial brand and Marketing plan.
- Drive disciplined forecasting and robust pipeline management.
- Ensure seamless handoff and retention of accounts with Operations and Customer Service.
- Reporting & Analytics
- Deliver accurate reporting on performance, pipeline, and trends.
- Use data to identify gaps and continuously improve GTM execution.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of B2B sales experience, with 5+ years in a national or regional leadership role.
- Background in pest control or similar field services (e.g., sanitation, HVAC).
- Proven ability to scale sales organizations and achieve measurable growth.
- Proficient in Salesforce or comparable CRM systems and modern sales tech.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and strategic thinking skills.
- Willingness to travel (approximately 30–40%).
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in private equity-backed or high-growth environments.
- Familiarity with industry-specific compliance and selling strategies.
- Financial acumen and experience with P&L oversight.
