Job summary

The Jacobson Group seeks a Head of Commercial Lines (Product & P&L) to lead strategy, profitability, and performance of the commercial insurance portfolio nationwide.

You will own pricing, segmentation, product strategy, and portfolio management across Commercial Property, Umbrella, Auto, and Workers’ Compensation, and build a high-performing team in partnership with Actuarial, Underwriting, Sales, and Service.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Actuarial Science, MIS, or related analytical field; Master’s degree preferred.
• 10+ years of experience in P&C insurance or similar financial/product management environment.
• Deep knowledge of Commercial Lines P&C and related lines (Auto, Umbrella, Property, Workers’ Comp).
• Proven P&L ownership and financial management at line of business or countrywide level.
• Strong pricing, segmentation, portfolio management, and product strategy experience.
• Experience partnering with Actuarial, Underwriting, Sales, Product, and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Own commercial lines P&L and performance, driving top-line growth and profitability.
• Set countrywide product and pricing strategy, including rate structure and market benchmarking.
• Lead pricing and portfolio strategies using data, analytics, and market intelligence.
• Develop line of business strategies based on P&L drivers and market dynamics.
• Establish KPIs and provide senior leadership with actionable insights.
