Job summary

Crossing Hurdles is seeking a Senior Technical Architect to lead remote cloud infrastructure initiatives. You will own the design and execution of scalable, secure platforms, with a focus on distributed systems and dependable containerized environments.

The role emphasizes real-world tasks, measurable requirements, and rigorous testing across deployment, security, and disaster recovery. You will collaborate with engineers to debug, document decisions, and ensure production readiness.

Qualifications

• Senior-level technical architecture experience on production cloud platforms.
• Ownership of a production platform including access control and security.
• Experience with IAM, private networking, least-privilege access.
• Hands-on ability to write infrastructure automation or testing tools.
• Experience with observability, SLOs, deployments and disaster recovery.

Responsibilities

• Create realistic cloud tasks across distributed systems, networking, security, and scalability.
• Build reproducible containerized environments with reference and defective variants.
• Define measurable requirements for infrastructure config, topology, and runtime.
• Develop deterministic tests for integration, load, security, and recovery.
• Debug environments and document decisions while reviewing peers' work.
