Job summary

Northern VA Community College is seeking a Director of Infrastructure Operations to drive enterprise infrastructure, Microsoft 365 / Google Workspace administration, and secure digital workplace services. You will partner with the CIO/CTO and cross‑functional teams to deliver reliable, compliant cloud productivity solutions.

You will guide data center and cloud services, establish governance and security controls, and oversee tenant config, licensing, and service health.

Qualifications

Proven ability to lead people and deliver results through others.
Experience planning for short and long-term objectives in IT infrastructure.
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems at functional and strategic levels.
Customer-focused with excellent oral and written communication.

Responsibilities

Lead planning, administration, and continuous improvement of Infrastructure Services and cloud platforms.
Provide day-to-day operational leadership for data center, cloud services, and on‑premises infrastructure teams.
Establish tenant governance, licensing practices, service health monitoring, and change management.
Coordinate with information security to implement cloud security controls and access policies.
Oversee configuration of core system consoles for access, licensing, and governance.
