Job summary

AbbVie is seeking a lead PK scientist to conceive and execute novel scientific research in Clinical Pharmacology. The role includes generating PK/PD proposals, leading PK method development, and integrating regulatory advances into research programs.

You will contribute to Phase 1–4 studies, author regulatory documents, perform data analyses, and present findings within cross‑functional teams. The position requires strong scientific acumen and teamwork, with opportunities to publish and present

Qualifications

• PhD with 0 years of experience, or Pharm D with 2+ years of experience in a relevant field, Master’s Degree or equivalent education and typically 8+ years of experience, Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent education and typically 10+ years of experience; relevant fields include PK, PBPK, PK-PD, Pharmacometrics or systems pharmacology, Drug metabolism/Transporters
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Ability to interact externally and internally and perform in a team setting
• Demonstrates scientific acumen and has technical skills to perform the role

Responsibilities

• Contribute to clinical development by supporting Phase 1-4 studies including study design and clinical pharmacology strategy
• Author regulatory documents including protocols, study reports, population PK reports, exposure‑response analyses and other dossiers
• Conduct data analyses including non‑compartmental analyses, modeling and simulation, literature data analyses
• Participate and present at departmental and cross functional teams such as study teams and leadership teams
• Collaborate with scientific support from other Clinical Pharmacology groups to provide a unified position to clinical, CMC and regulatory teams
• Author scientific publications and present at scientific conferences
