Job summary

The MetroHealth System in Cleveland is seeking a Biomedical/Clinical Engineering leader to oversee daily operations, safety testing, repairs, calibration, and preventive maintenance of medical equipment across the system. You will supervise staff, coordinate contracts, safety alerts, recalls, and supply chain duties, and ensure compliance with Joint Commission and other regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or 5 years of healthcare experience in lieu of degree.
• Demonstrated supervisory/management experience.
• Proven leadership, critical thinking, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and databases.
• Ability to interact effectively with diverse backgrounds.

Responsibilities

• Oversee safety testing, repairs, calibration, inspections, and preventive maintenance of clinical equipment across the System.
• Coordinate project management and informatics initiatives to ensure interdepartmental operability system-wide.
• Help facilitate safe, timely, efficient, and equitable delivery of care; manage contracts, safety alerts, recalls, and supply chain duties.
