Job summary

elemed is seeking a Head of Clinical Development in New York to own oncology assets end-to-end, reporting to the CEO. You will lead a small, autonomous team and direct a fleet of AI agents handling document drafting, literature surveillance, safety signals, and data triage to move programmes forward.

You should bring 10+ years in drug development with senior leadership, strong regulatory strategy skills, and a track record of go/no-go decisions.

Qualifications

• MD or MD/PhD with substantial oncology drug development experience.
• 10+ years in drug development with senior leadership experience (VP/SVP or CMO).
• Proven end-to-end ownership of a clinical asset, including regulatory strategy and go/no-go decisions.
• Willingness to work in an AI-first, non-hierarchical environment.

Responsibilities

• Own the full development strategy for one or more oncology assets from IND-enabling activities through registrational planning.
• Design precision, biomarker-driven trial protocols translating foundation model predictions and real-world evidence into designs.
• Define regulatory strategy and lead FDA/EMA interactions with briefing books and key submissions.
• Oversee medical oversight across active studies, tracking enrolment, safety signals, and biomarker data in real time.
• Direct cross-functional team and orchestrate AI agents to execute document-heavy tasks.
• Provide matrix leadership across biostatistics, medical monitoring, data management, and clinical operations.
• Develop investigator and KOL relationships and maintain awareness of competitive and scientific landscape.
• Make high-judgement scientific and commercial go/no-go calls to determine programme direction.
