Job summary

Frankenmuth Insurance Company seeks a head of the technical operations for claims, responsible for leading claims handling guidelines across lines of business, overseeing re-insurance operations, and directing claims reporting and analysis while managing unit staff.

Under limited supervision, you will set strategy, oversee audits, analyze trends, manage vendors and participate in corporate planning to drive quality outcomes and compliance.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree (M.A.) or equivalent.
• Six to ten years of related experience and/or training.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical oversight for all lines, set claim handling standards and strategy.
• Ensure high quality, timely claims outcomes and compliance with fair handling.
• Lead and manage staff; train, coach, and evaluate performance.
• Oversee vendor management and re-insurance operations.
• Oversee claims reporting, analysis, and project planning.
• Monitor claims trends and develop action plans to improve processes.
• Represent the technical claims function on corporate planning teams.
