Job summary

Metis Search, a growing investment management firm, seeks an experienced Head of Business Development to lead fundraising, investor engagement, and growth across its public credit and fixed income platform in New Jersey.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in asset management BD or investor relations, a proven asset-raising record, and relationships across institutional and wealth channels. CFA or MBA qualifications are advantageous.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in BD, fundraising, institutional sales, or investor relations within asset management.
• Proven track record of raising assets for public credit, fixed income, or alternatives.
• Established relationships across institutional, intermediary, and wealth channels.
• Strong communication, presentation, and relationship management skills.
• Bachelor's degree; CFA, MBA, or related qualifications advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the firm's business development and capital-raising strategy.
• Identify and cultivate relationships with institutional investors, family offices, RIAs, wealth managers, and investment consultants.
• Build and manage a robust pipeline of prospective investors and strategic partners.
• Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing clients.
• Represent the firm at investor meetings, conferences, and industry events.
• Work closely with senior leadership and investment professionals to support growth objectives.
