LHH is seeking a Director of Capital Development and Investor Relations for a leading investment management firm in Washington, DC. You will lead investor engagement, expand the capital base, and drive the firm’s capital formation strategy among sophisticated institutional investors.

Qualifications

• Accomplished fundraising or capital development professional with experience in investment management.
• Track record of developing new institutional relationships and advancing commitments.
• Existing connectivity with institutional allocators, investment consultants, and other capital sources.
• Ability to distill complex investment information into clear messaging for diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Serve as senior representative to current and prospective investors, maintaining engagement.
• Expand the institutional network by developing new relationships.
• Assess markets to identify best-fit investor opportunities for the firm.
• Direct opportunities from dialogue through diligence and funding.
• Translate portfolio activity and investment philosophy into external communications.
• Provide senior leadership with actionable intelligence on allocator priorities and fundraising conditions.
• Oversee preparation of institutional marketing materials and diligence requests.
• Maintain visibility into capital development activity with pipeline management.
• Strengthen investor partnerships with proactive coverage and timely information.
• Establish efficient practices for investor engagement and fundraising execution.
• Develop knowledge to represent the firm’s portfolio, process, performance, and risk.
