Job summary

Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) seeks a Manager, Vehicle Engineering to lead the Vehicle Engineering Branch within BUSV. You will oversee bus development, rehabilitation contracts, and procurement while safeguarding cost and schedule targets, guiding a team of engineers and consultants.

You will coordinate with operations, maintenance, safety, procurement, and training to modernize the fleet, advance propulsion tech, and deliver engineering solutions for reliable service

Qualifications

• Analytical and critical thinking applied to complex transportation systems.
• Budget formulation, scheduling, maintenance, and control knowledge.
• Ability to communicate across levels and manage contracts and procurement.

Responsibilities

• Participates in procurement efforts and recommends actions.
