Qualifications

PhD in psychometrics, NLP, statistics or related computational field.
10+ years of professional experience in K-12 assessment.
8+ years leading teams of software developers, NLP scientists, and data scientists.
Experience working with client-facing tasks, including presentations.
Established publication record in NLP applications in K-12 assessment.

Responsibilities

Support CAI’s innovation in natural language applications for educational outcomes.
Lead automated scoring research for writing, speech, and other assessments.
Contribute to CAI’s product portfolio with ML-based solutions for K-12 and higher ed.
Set R&D priorities for the automated scoring team and drive initiatives.
Mentor and guide a team of scientists toward impactful results.
Design and execute studies to score and model results for NLP applications.
Publish and present findings at planning and advisory meetings.
