Job summary

Advance Auto Parts, Inc. is seeking a Distribution Center General Manager to lead a high-performing, automated facility. You will drive strategic direction, manage a sizeable team, and ensure safety, efficiency, and accuracy across a diverse SKU base.

The role requires 7–10 years in senior DC leadership, hands-on WMS experience (Red Prairie or similar), and a track record of improving throughput in a fast-paced environment. Flexibility for weekends/holidays is essential.

Qualifications

• 7-10 years of senior leadership in distribution center or supply chain operations.
• Proven experience managing automated facilities and large SKU inventories.
• Demonstrated success leading large teams in a high-volume environment.
• Proficiency with Red Prairie WMS or similar warehouse management systems.
• Familiarity with advanced sorting and handling equipment.
• Hands-on experience with pallet jacks, forklifts, order pickers, reach trucks.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics or related field.
• Ability to work flexible hours including weekends, holidays, and overtime.
• Willingness to perform and understand all roles within the distribution center.

Responsibilities

• Provide overall leadership, direction, and strategic oversight for all distribution center operations.
• Build and develop a high-performing leadership team through coaching and performance management.
• Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement across all levels.
• Ensure operational efficiency and accuracy with a large SKU base.
• Maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders including store teams and regional leadership.
• Oversee implementation and optimization of advanced sorting and material handling systems.
• Monitor and enforce safety protocols and regulatory requirements.
• Set goals and align team performance with organizational objectives.
• Communicate effectively across levels to ensure alignment and clarity.
