Job summary

Dymax, part of the Bachmann Chemical & Engineering family, is seeking a Lead Application Engineering & Technical Service professional in Torrington, CT to guide a high-performing technical organization and deliver tailored customer solutions.

You will recruit and coach the team, advance standard methodologies, and partner with Sales, R&D, and Product Management to translate findings into practical recommendations for customers. A strong adhesives/coatings background is highly valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a technical field.
• 5+ years leading technical teams in lab, technical service, or application engineering.
• 5+ years of experience with adhesives and coatings preferred.
• Strong ability to translate technical findings into practical recommendations.
• Experience with dispensing and curing equipment and delivering technical training.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop Application Engineering and Technical Service resources.
• Establish structured, repeatable approaches for investigations, testing, root-cause analysis, and solution development.
• Coordinate technical expertise across Dymax and the broader organization to deliver consistent and effective customer solutions.
• Recruit, coach, develop, and performance manage team members.
• Partner with customers, Territory Sales Managers, and channel partners on application design, product evaluation, troubleshooting, and validation testing.
