Job summary

Google's Data Cloud Analytics team in Sunnyvale, CA is seeking a senior analytics leader to own product success metrics and forecasting across Data Cloud. You will report, analyze trends, and guide data-driven decisions in collaboration with Engineering, Product, Marketing and Finance.

You will lead end-to-end analysis, apply advanced analytics, and develop experimentation frameworks to improve investment velocity and product outcomes, while shaping data-driven strategy across the Cloud

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 15 years of experience in management consulting, product management and strategy, or analytics in a technology company.
• 12 years of experience using analytics to solve product or business problems, including statistical analysis and coding.
• 3 years of experience managing or leading teams.
• Experience with analytics, data science, and statistical methodologies.
• Experience with data management, and analytical and data visualization software tools.

Job description

Own analytics that drive product success across Google Data Cloud and broader Cloud through metrics, forecasting, and experimentation frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Define, own, and evolve product success metrics for Data Cloud
• Report, analyze, and forecast trends of key product metrics; recommend improvements to increase performance
• Provide thought leadership on defining, analyzing, and validating metrics, hypotheses, and measurement approaches to support decision-making
• Lead end-to-end analysis: identify priority business problems, translate them into tractable questions, process data, and deliver results to stakeholders
• Apply advanced analytical methods to solve non-routine, cross-disciplinary problems using large, complex data sets
• Develop experimentation and measurement frameworks to improve investment velocity and support complex product decisions
• Partner across Data Cloud and broader Cloud to create insight linkages and shape data-driven strategies for business acceleration opportunities
• Serve as a senior leader in Data Cloud Strategy and Operations, contributing to the strategic outlook and supporting high-quality execution
• Work with Engineering, Product Management, Marketing, Operations, and Finance to enable data-driven product decisions

Requirements

• Experience with R, SQL, spreadsheets, or similar analytics tools
• Experience in an enterprise setting, with demonstrated expertise and nuanced understanding of data tied to market segments and competitive dynamics/customer adoption behavior
• Experience informing product decisions through quantitative and qualitative analysis
• Effective leadership capabilities with the ability to motivate a team
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate with technical and business experts

Compensation

• USD 222,000 - 308,000 per year

• 20 days of vacation per year, accruing at a rate of 6.15 hours per pay period for the first five years of employment
• 40 hours/year (increased to 69 hours/year for Seattle) including 5 discretionary sick days per instance

• Baby Bonding Leave: 18 weeks
• 13 paid days per year
