Job summary

Google is seeking a Product and Business Strategy Leader to head the Analytics and Reporting team within the Data Cloud organization, collaborating across Data Cloud and broader Cloud to shape insights-driven strategies and accelerate business opportunities.

You will lead cross-functional efforts with Engineering, Product Management, Marketing, Operations, and Finance to enable data-based product decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 15 years of experience in management consulting, product management and strategy, or analytics in a technology company.
• 12 years of experience using analytics to solve product or business problems, performing statistical analysis, and coding.
• 3 years of experience managing or leading teams.
• Experience with the technical aspects of analytics, data science and statistical methodologies, data management, analytical and data visualization software tools.

Responsibilities

• Define, own and evolve product success metrics. Report, analyze and forecast trends of key product metrics and make recommendations to improve them.
• Provide thought leadership in defining, analyzing and validating key metrics and hypotheses to inform decision-making and measure the success of product teams.
• Work with large, complex data sets and develop solutions that can be executed for incremental business growth. Solve non-routine, inter-disciplinary analysis problems by applying advanced analytical methods as needed.
• Conduct work for end-to-end analysis. This starts with identifying the most important business problems, translating these to tractable questions, processing data and performing analysis, and then communicating the results to stakeholders to inform the product direction.
• Develop experimentation and measurement frameworks to increase the velocity of investments and aid complex decision-making.

Job description

• Effective leadership capabilities, and the ability to motivate a team.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate with both technical and business experts.

Our team pushes Google to scale at key points that refine our products and infrastructure by executing efficiently, bringing solid business sense and sound judgment, and working effectively across organizational lines.

Our roles often include components of strategy (e.g. analyzing and understanding new trends in the industry, building business plans), operations (e.g. running the cadence of organizations, connecting the operating lines between our functions), and communications. Our team partners with senior leadership to run important functions that cross-cut our existing organizations and deliver high impact projects. In this role, you will lead the Analytics and Reporting team for the Data Cloud organization, applying analytical capabilities towards the most strategically important areas and topics across the business and create linkages. You will work cross-functionally across both the Data Cloud organization and broader Cloud as needed to shape insights driven strategies and pursuit of business acceleration opportunities for the Data Cloud portfolios. You will serve as a senior leader on the Data Cloud Strategy and Operations team, a function which is broadly responsible for both crafting the strategic outlook for the portfolios in collaboration with the Product Management and Engineering organizations as well as ensuring the high quality execution of the strategy. You will be working with a wide range of functions - Engineering, Product Management, Marketing, Operations, and Finance - to make data driven product decisions. Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

US: $222000 - $308000 (USD) + 25% bonus target + equity + benefits
