Job summary

DHL Express is seeking a Senior Director of Network Planning to lead the Americas Network, design and optimize Air and Road networks, and drive a 24/7 operations culture. The role emphasizes strategic direction, cross-functional leadership, and collaboration with airline partners and regulators to meet service and cost objectives.

You will manage a high-performing team, align global and regional strategies, and deliver data-driven improvements across diverse operational units.

Qualifications

• 8–11 years in the industry with at least 5 years in senior level management roles.
• Degree in Logistics or Transport (or equivalent).
• Experience managing large multi-functional teams across departments.
• Experience in Regulatory Compliance for Air Operations.
• Willingness to travel 40–60%

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic direction for the Americas Air Network and regional operations.
• Lead cross-functional reviews and develop programs supporting the strategies.
• Develop business plans for the Network, customers and airline partners.
• Represent DHL with airline partners and regulators.
• Lead NPG team to excellence in aviation and foster a service culture.
• Coach and develop managers for succession and continuous improvement.
• Ensure safety, engagement, service quality and cost performance.
