Job summary

deugro in The Woodlands, TX, seeks a Head of Airfreight to lead our strategic airfreight business in the region, including complex shipments and project cargo. The role combines operational leadership with P&L responsibility in a global logistics setting.

The position requires extensive international airfreight expertise, strong client and partner management, and the ability to drive growth while ensuring quality and compliance across projects and operations.

Qualifications

• Degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration or comparable field.
• Extensive international air freight experience with leadership roles and project cargo exposure.
• Proven track record in strategic management, growth, profitability and market expansion.
• Deep end-to-end air freight expertise including project shipments, charters and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Strategically manage and grow the air freight business in the country/region, focusing on complex solutions.
• Lead the air freight department operationally and financially.
• Develop cross-border operations with agents, partners and customers.
• Oversee budget planning, profitability and process quality across air freight.
• Establish and maintain strong customer relationships and expand airline/partner networks.
• Drive development of innovative logistics concepts for sensitive or oversized goods.
• Support sales, project logistics and internal units with growth plans.
• Prepare quotations and RFQs and monitor KPIs to steer decisions.
