Job summary

MORSE Corp is seeking an experienced Chief Engineer to lead the development and deployment of AI, ML, decision systems, and mission planning applications from its Cambridge, MA base. You will guide technical vision, manage cross-functional teams, and ensure program success while engaging with external partners and stakeholders.

The role requires a Master’s or PhD in a related field, 10+ years in R&D, and strong leadership with experience in Agile/DevOps and cloud environments. A U.S.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain/maintain a security clearance
• Active Secret/Top Secret/TS/SCI preferred
• 10+ years of R&D experience focusing on AI/ML, software, and decision systems
• Proven leadership of high-performing technical teams
• Strong software development principles, methods, and tooling knowledge
• Excellent written and verbal communication for technical and non-technical audiences
• Experience with Agile and DevOps practices
• Familiarity with cloud computing platforms is a plus

Responsibilities

• Set the technical vision for programs and coordinate with internal staff and external customers
• Lead multi-disciplinary teams delivering algorithmic, software, cloud, and data solutions
• Manage program execution, ensuring schedule and budget adherence, and overseeing delivery
• Cultivate relationships with external partners and stakeholders to advocate MORSE’s technology and services
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities, expanding our portfolio and driving growth
• Provide technical oversight and guidance to program team members
