Job summary

Snowflake is seeking a leader to build and scale the Release Validation team. You will hire and mentor engineers, setting strategy for CI/CD test infrastructure and a resilient validation platform.

Your role focuses on faster release cycles, reducing flaky tests, and driving AI‑driven failure analysis across teams. You will partner with engineering leaders to ensure quality across distributed systems, with a strong emphasis on ownership and customer impact.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience hiring, coaching, and developing engineers at different career stages.
• Experience building and running large‑scale CI/CD, test infrastructure, or developer productivity platforms.
• Strong technical background to review designs, make architecture tradeoffs, and earn the respect of senior engineers.
• BS/MS in Computer Science or related majors, or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow the team. Hire, mentor, and develop engineers on test infrastructure and developer tooling.
• Set strategy and roadmap for release validation and faster feedback with fewer blockers.
• Own the validation platform, ensuring reliability, scalability, and efficiency of distributed tests and pre‑production environments.
• Improve test health by reducing flaky tests and non‑hermetic tests across teams.
• Cut down release blockers by faster root cause analysis and triage of failures.
• Drive AI and automation to reduce manual work for engineers across Snowflake.
• Collaborate across teams as the main partner to Release Engineering and engineering leaders on quality.
