Job summary

Boundless Immigration is hiring a Head of Engineering to reinvent how legal work gets done in the age of AI. We are a remote-first team with a small in-person office in Seattle, and we want someone based in Seattle who will be in the office at least 2 days a week.

You will lead an engineering org rebuilding our platform and infrastructure from the ground up, guiding AI-native development and collaboration with legal, product, design and operations.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software engineering experience, with 4+ years in management.
• Experience shipping AI into production and leading teams through AI transitions.
• Strong systems thinking across platform, AI layer, and business constraints.
• Domain experience in regulated industries is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build and lead a world-class AI-native platform engineering organization.
• Own end-to-end delivery, roadmaps, quality, and on-call health.
• Collaborate with product, design, legal, and operations as peers.
• Drive transition to AI-native development processes and software factory model.
• Set architectural standards and ensure auditability and accuracy.
