Job summary

Florence is seeking a Director of AI to lead the design, development, and delivery of AI-powered capabilities across our product suite. This hands-on leadership role guides architecture, mentors engineers, and evaluates emerging AI technologies to deliver scalable, production-ready AI solutions.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years in software engineering with prod AI/ML systems and 4+ years of team leadership.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software engineering with prod AI/ML systems.
• 4+ years leading engineering teams in a technical role.
• Strong expertise in LLMs, RAG, Agentic AI, and modern AI architectures.
• Experience building scalable AI systems, ML pipelines, and MLOps platforms.
• Able to translate emerging AI tech into practical engineering solutions.
• Proven production ML monitoring, drift detection, experiment tracking, and CD of ML models.
• Excellent communication with executives, product leaders, and engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and architecture of AI-powered products and platforms.
• Evaluate AI technologies, LLMs, and frameworks; guide prototyping and reviews.
• Mentor engineers and lead technical coaching and design reviews.
• Drive ML pipelines, data prep, training, deployment, monitoring, and governance.
• Partner with product management to define AI roadmaps and capabilities.
• Ensure reliability, observability, and cost-efficient production AI solutions.
• Foster collaboration and engineering excellence across teams.
