Job summary

Florence is seeking a Director of AI to lead the design, development, and delivery of AI-powered capabilities across our product suite. This hands-on leadership role guides architecture, mentors engineers, and evaluates emerging AI technologies to deliver scalable, production-ready AI solutions.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years in software engineering with prod AI/ML systems and 4+ years of team leadership.

Qualifications

8+ years of software engineering with prod AI/ML systems.
4+ years leading engineering teams in a technical role.
Strong expertise in LLMs, RAG, Agentic AI, and modern AI architectures.
Experience building scalable AI systems, ML pipelines, and MLOps platforms.
Able to translate emerging AI tech into practical engineering solutions.
Proven production ML monitoring, drift detection, experiment tracking, and CD of ML models.
Excellent communication with executives, product leaders, and engineering teams.

Responsibilities

Lead design and architecture of AI-powered products and platforms.
Evaluate AI technologies, LLMs, and frameworks; guide prototyping and reviews.
Mentor engineers and lead technical coaching and design reviews.
Drive ML pipelines, data prep, training, deployment, monitoring, and governance.
Partner with product management to define AI roadmaps and capabilities.
Ensure reliability, observability, and cost-efficient production AI solutions.
Foster collaboration and engineering excellence across teams.
