Job summary

Supabase seeks a Head of AI Operations to own how AI is engineered and deployed across the company. You will lead a small team and shape the operating cadence, standards, and maturity models that drive scalable, automated workflows.

This role is fully remote and async, with a focus on turning meetings into automated reports and embedding AI-driven processes into onboarding and governance. You will collaborate with department heads, publish outcomes, and ensure every phase delivers measurable

Qualifications

• Must have scale & cadence experience at a company with remote/asynchronous work.
• Agentic AI workflow experience and ability to judge quality across AI systems.
• Track record of taking a standard from zero to company-wide without direct authority.
• Exceptional written communication for async collaboration and enforcement documents.
• Comfortable with public accountability and performance measurement across teams.

Responsibilities

• Own the maturity model end to end: rubric, scoring, evidence, appeals path and publish assessments.
• Run assessments with department heads and land commitments with owners and dates.
• Own the standards layer: how work is tracked, decisions proposed/resolved, tooling migration, documentation retirement.
• Fix the decision process: establish stages, exit criteria, closing mechanisms.
• Run the operating cadence: automated weekly reports, blockers-and-decisions forum, monthly leadership review, quarterly board-format; delete meetings a report could replace.
• Manage rollouts: private assessments first, then public transparency date.
• Wire standards into onboarding to ensure cohorts arrive pre-trained.
• Build and direct two senior ICs (platform and enablement).
• Measure and publish outcomes of coordination work versus manual costs.
