Job summary

Lennar is seeking a Director of AI Engineering for corporate systems in a hands-on leadership role. You will drive AI-enabled capabilities, set engineering strategy, and lead multiple teams to deliver secure, scalable platforms aligned with Lennar’s enterprise standards.

You will mentor engineers, manage budgets, and collaborate with business leaders to translate needs into scalable solutions while advancing DevSecOps practices and modern architectures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field; equivalent experience considered.
• Progressive engineering leadership experience overseeing multiple teams.
• Experience leading engineering teams supporting enterprise functions.
• Hands-on with modern software architecture, cloud platforms (AWS/Azure), and microservices/API-based development.
• Practical AI/ML or generative AI experience applied to real business problems.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Leader of Engineering, setting vision, structure, and culture for teams.
• Set technical direction and engineering strategy for corporate systems.
• Translate business needs into scalable technical solutions with cross-functional partners.
• Drive adoption of AI and automation across engineering to improve efficiency and quality.
• Own delivery execution including prioritization, resourcing, and budgets.
• Establish and maintain engineering best practices (code quality, CI/CD, security).
• Recruit, mentor, and grow engineering managers and ICs; build strong talent bench.
• Collaborate to ensure corporate systems meet enterprise security, resiliency, and scalability.
