Qualifications

• PhD in Statistics, Data Science or related quantitative discipline with 15+ years in industry (or Masters with 18+ years).
• Extensive leadership within pharmaceutical/biotech focusing on quantitative sciences and AI.
• Proven track record of scaling technical innovations across a global R&D environment.
• Experience influencing regulatory landscapes for AI-driven approaches.

Responsibilities

• Shape global R&D strategy as part of the Data and Quantitative Sciences leadership.
• Develop and own the strategic roadmap for advanced methods including adaptive designs, simulations, generative AI and causal machine learning.
• Translate advances into reusable tools and standardized frameworks for GxP and regulated environments.
• Lead the systematic integration of AI into clinical workflows from pilot to full-scale adoption.
• Establish governance for model validation and reproducibility to meet high scientific and regulatory standards.
• Represent the organization with regulators, academia, and industry consortia to define global AI standards in clinical development.
• Direct a multidisciplinary team across AI methods and decision science within a hub-and-spoke model.
