Job summary

Groundtruth, a Vantora portfolio company, is hiring a hands-on Head of Engineering to own the platform from data ingestion to AI-driven validation. You will build scalable enterprise infrastructure, drive integrations with ERP/TMS, and lead a growing engineering team.

You will shape architecture, partner with Product and Data Science, and establish security and observability as the platform scales for enterprise adoption.

Qualifications

• 8+ years software engineering experience with 4+ years leading teams.
• Strong backend or full-stack background with hands-on coding.
• Proven B2B SaaS experience with complex data pipelines and integrations.
• Deep knowledge of cloud architecture, CI/CD, observability and distributed systems.
• Experience with AI/ML systems (LLMs, rules engines, validation models).
• Familiarity with enterprise finance, billing, or revenue systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow the engineering function with hands-on leadership.
• Architect and own the core platform, data pipelines, and AI integrations.
• Build deep integrations with ERP, TMS, and billing systems.
• Partner with Product and Data Science to translate workflows into automation.
• Design systems for invoice validation, discrepancy detection, and auditability.
• Establish security, CI/CD, observability, testing, and documentation practices.
• Define the technical vision for AI-driven automation and scalable architecture.
• Mentor distributed teams (nearshore/offshore) and foster high-output culture.
• Deliver rapid MVP iterations while building enterprise-grade foundations.
