Archer is partnering with J.P. Morgan to connect top software engineering leaders with a high-impact role in Wilmington, Delaware. You will mentor several technical teams, advance financial technology with AI-assisted engineering, and drive secure, compliant delivery across the software lifecycle.

You will champion modern development practices, guide engineers on tools, and set expectations for collaboration, quality, and human validation across initiatives.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience.
• Experience leading multiple teams and guiding engineers to achieve strategic goals.
• Proficient in automation and continuous delivery; full SDLC ownership.
• Experience with CI/CD, resiliency and security in agile environments.
• Deep knowledge of financial services IT and cloud-native systems.
• Proven design of distributed applications and Agile practices.

Responsibilities

• Provides guidance to the immediate team of software engineers on daily tasks.
• Coaches engineers on practical uses of AI and responsible tooling usage.
• Sets overall guidance for team output, practices, and collaboration.
• Anticipates dependencies to deliver products aligned with business needs.
• Manages stakeholder relationships and compliance-aligned delivery.
• Fosters diversity and inclusive representation within the team.
• Leads adoption of enterprise AI-assisted engineering practices and SDLC automation.
• Applies SDLC tools and automation capabilities to improve value and capacity.
