Job summary

Archer, in collaboration with BNY, seeks a Director of Application Development Manager to lead the Client Tax technology team. The role coordinates across Pittsburgh, PA, Lake Mary, FL, and Jersey City, NJ, driving scalable full‑stack solutions.

You will set engineering direction, champion AI-powered capabilities, and mentor engineers while partnering with product, operations and security to deliver compliant, high-quality software at scale.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in computer science or related field.
• 12+ years of systems analysis and program development with supervisory/management experience.
• Strong proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, SQL, and RESTful and streaming APIs.
• Hands-on experience delivering cloud-native solutions, including microservices and containerization.
• Working knowledge of NoSQL and distributed data stores.
• Experience leveraging AI-enabled capabilities to boost developer productivity and system intelligence.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and architecture direction for client tax applications.
• Design, build, and maintain scalable, full-stack applications using modern frameworks.
• Lead engineering delivery, code reviews, and debugging to resolve complex issues.
• Promote AI-powered capabilities and reuse of existing platforms.
• Mentor engineers and collaborate across product, operations, engineering and security teams.
