Amazon.com Services LLC is seeking an Applied Science Manager III to lead a team of scientists building AI-powered seller risk detection systems within GRIP Science. You will own the vision, roadmap, and execution for a critical detection surface, enabling scalable, principled risk assessment across Amazon's global marketplaces.

You will partner with enforcement, policy, operations, and engineering to deliver high-impact, durable solutions, while fostering innovation and scientific rigor across

Qualifications

• 3+ years of scientists or machine learning engineers management experience.
• Knowledge of ML, NLP, Information Retrieval and Analytics.
• Experience with large-scale ML systems and production readiness.
• Strong written and verbal communication with senior leadership.
• Experience working with enforcement, policy, operations, and engineering partners.

Responsibilities

• Define the scientific vision and multi-year roadmap for your team's detection domain.
• Lead a team building state-of-the-art detection models using AI techniques.
• Establish mechanisms to measure model effectiveness and business impact.
• Drive production readiness including monitoring and on-call practices.
• Build and develop a high-performing team of applied scientists.
