Job summary

Amazon is seeking an Applied Scientist for Global Risk Intelligence and Prevention to lead the development of AI solutions that prevent abuse in our store and help Selling Partners grow their business with confidence.

You will design, develop, and deploy scalable AI systems to detect marketplace abuse across the seller lifecycle, using large datasets and state-of-the-art AI, including small language models, to stay ahead of adversaries.

Qualifications

• PhD, or Master’s degree and 4+ years of CS, CE, ML or related field experience.
• Experience programming in Java, C++, Python or related language.
• Experience in algorithms and data structures, parsing, numerical optimization, data mining, parallel and distributed computing, high-performance computing.

Responsibilities

• Design and build predictive risk detection models using AI techniques (NLP, LLMs, agents).
• Own end-to-end scientific solution from risk quantification to decision optimization.
• Develop interpretable pipelines with explanations for model decisions.
