Job summary

Invisible Technologies Inc. is seeking a Director of Engineering for Data Labs to shape the technical strategy behind AI training engagements. You will guide benchmarking systems, data pipelines, and RL environments while staying close to client needs and market evolution.

You will lead managers, forward deployed engineers, and senior ICs, making strategic architectural calls and partnering with product, research, and go‑to‑market teams to deliver scalable platforms.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in software engineering with ML/AI experience.
• 5+ years in engineering leadership, managing managers.
• Track record of multi-year technical strategy and platform investments.
• Deep understanding of AI training, evaluation, and emerging methods.
• Hands-on with LLM training pipelines and architectural decisions.
• Experience delivering measurable client outcomes with ML/data pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Own the multi-year technical strategy for Data Labs and translate into a market-aligned roadmap.
• Decide on shared platform investments vs. engagement-specific solutions.
• Set architectural direction for benchmarking, data pipelines, and RL environments.
• Anticipate tech shifts 6–18 months ahead and align to client needs.
• Represent engineering in exec and client conversations as a trusted advisor.
• Lead and grow engineering teams including managers, FDEs, and senior ICs.
• Define data licensing, privacy, and contamination risk as strategic differentiators.
