Medidata Solutions, Inc. is seeking a Lead AI & Data Engineer to design, build, and deploy production-grade AI data products. You will lead AI-powered solutions using LLMs, RAG, and agent orchestration across our Virtual Twin ecosystem.

The ideal candidate brings deep data engineering and AI-native development experience, translating complex clinical and business requirements into scalable solutions. Hybrid role with NYC area base, coordinating with product, data science, and platform teams.

Qualificações

• 7+ years in data engineering or data science with AI focus
• Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as CS/Engineering
• Hands-on AI-native solutions using LLMs, RAG, AI agents, and orchestration
• Experience integrating AI/ML pipelines into production data infrastructure with API/MCP, governance and security
• Experience implementing AI governance, including access controls and data privacy
• Proficiency in Python, SQL and CI/CD with Git
• Hands-on with Airflow, CDC, batch processing, and job scheduling
• Interest in healthcare data and Life Sciences is important

Responsabilidades

• Engineer scalable, automated data pipelines and AI-powered solutions using modern AI tech, vector databases, and CI/CD
• Design, develop, and deploy AI-powered solutions leveraging LLMs, RAG, and agent workflows
• Implement integrations via API and MCP to connect applications and data with governance and security controls
• Implement agent orchestration and workflow patterns using LangGraph/LangChain or equivalent
• Develop agent-driven metadata management for catalogs, glossaries, lineage, and governance
• Apply data architecture and data science engineering practices using cloud-native tech
• Document work clearly to stakeholders at all levels
• Collaborate in Agile environments and cross-functional teams
